The main goal of the Apprentice/ Adult Learner will be supporting your colleagues onsite whilst learning all there is to learn about the industry, not only the industry but additional skills such as working with plant/ machinery, working safely onsite, using new tolls, materials and much more...

Job Description

As an apprentice/ adult learner Lightning Protection Operative will will learn everything from the very basics of Lightning Protection to how to test, inspect, install, design lightning protection systems to BS EN 62305

The role is Monday to Friday

Key duties include but are not limited to:

To support your colleagues where required
Produce site audits based on the works being completed onsite
Attend works on building sites and complete site inductions in a timely manner
Learn how to identify any lightning protection issues and rectify them
Assist colleagues with vehicle maintenance such as oil checks, water checks, screen wash also ensuring tools and stock are kept to a good standard
Learn to maintain tools and materials to a good standard
Be responsible for your own hand tools/ drills/ harness and keep them in a good state of repair reporting to senior management where assistance is required
Completing training throughout the role
Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times

Education:

Minimum GCSE or equivalent

To complete an apprenticeship within the Lightning Protection Industry you must be prepared for the following:

To attend college based in Kings Lynn for block sessions; 3 or 4 weeks at a time over a 2 year period

Is not afraid of working at height

Be able to obtain a CSCS Labourers card to begin with

Be comfortable working away from home

To complete a work based learning qualification within the Lightning Protection Industry you must be prepared for the following:

Work based learning over a 2 year period

Is not afraid of working at height

Be able to obtain a CSCS Labourers card to begin with

Be comfortable working away from home
